RS-232 to RS-422 Converters
Flexible Distance Converters Convert RS-232 to RS-422 signals for reliable long distance data communications.
The RS-232 to RS-422 distance converters allow an RS-232 device with DB-25 port to connect to an RS-422 device. These distance converters may be used with a range of Avocent wiring accessories for both twisted pair and modular cable. Figure 1 shows a typical wiring plan using RS-232 to RS-422 converters.
Specifications
The LDA-232 interface is EIA RS-232-C, male or female as ordered, wired as DCE, as shown in Figure 2. The following table lists the range specifications, using 4-wire 24AWG twisted pair cable with DC continuity.
